Holliston – Richard “Rooster” J. White, 73, died Sept. 17, 2004 at the
Milford Whitinsville Hospital.
He was the husband of Anita (DiGregorio) White. They had been married for
51 years.
Born in Waltham, he was the son of the late George and Mary (McCann) White.
He was a resident of Holliston since 1956.
A graduate of Bentley College, his career was in sales.
He was a veteran of the U. S. Coast Guard and served in the Korean War. He
was a member of the Holliston American Legion and V.F.W. He was a
co-founder of Holliston Youth Hockey, was an avid hockey fan and gardener.
He loved watching his grandchildren play.
Besides his wife he is survived by his sons, Douglas J. White and his wife
Joanne of Plainville, MA, Gary M. White and his wife Hyun of Lake Oswego,
OR, Richard F. White and his wife Kelley of Yarmouth, MA, Christopher White
and his wife Regina of Charlton, MA; daughter, Tracy Mahoney and her husband
Paul of Holliston; brother, Robert White and his wife Patricia of Pinehurst,
NC; sister, Madelaine Greger and her husband James of Augusta, Wisconsin,
and eleven grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Frederick, Charles
and E. Douglas White.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday, September 22 at
10:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church, Washington St., Holliston. Burial will
follow in Lake Grove Cemetery, Holliston.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, Sept. 21 from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 at
the Chesmore Funeral Home, 854 Washington St., Route 16, Holliston
