Richard,”Dick” Sylvia Lanoue, 84, of Holliston, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday, July 22, 2014. Born in Fairhaven, MA. he was the son of the late Laura (Sylvia) Lanoue and Wilfred Lanoue. He was married to the love of his life Joan (Bancroft) Lanoue for 57 years.

Dick was passionate about his involvement in the community. He was involved in Holliston’s Little League coaching both his sons through many seasons of baseball. Dick was also a proud member of the Joseph P. Keefe Technical High School committee for 35 years, retiring just last fall. Dick was also a Lifetime Member of the of the Holliston VFW and American Legion.
Dick is survived by 5 children, Suzanne McCarthy of CT, Nannette Fitzgerald and her husband John of Princeton, MA, Bernadette Shaw and her husband Bill of Medway, Ltc Richard Lanoue and his wife Kim of TX, and John Lanoue of NH. He also leaves a brother, Kenny “Spidah” Lanoue and his wife Terry of Fairhaven, MA. and 11 grandchildren, Andrew,
Christopher, Marcus, Matthew, Tyler, Timothy, Brittany and her husband
Matthew Supple, Carsten, Connor, Alletta and Laura.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 27th from 2-6p.m. at the
Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St.

10:30a.m. on Monday, July 28th at St. Mary’s Church of Holliston. Burial with full military honors will follow in Lake Grove Cemetery in Holliston. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the “Richard S. Lanoue Memorial Scholarship Fund” and sent to Nanette Fitzgerald, 118 Ball Hill Rd. Princeton, MA 01541
