Holliston-

Richard P. Handt, 85, of Holliston, passed away July 22, 2013 at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. Born in Rochester, NY, he was the son of the late Margaret and Paul Handt. He was the husband of 62 years to Gloria (Hazard) Handt of Holliston.

An Army Veteran, Richard enjoyed 52 years of summers in Maine and spending time with his family.

Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Lonna Marinaro of Holliston, Nancy Caron and her husband Raymond of Florida; 5 grandchildren; Anthony and Nicole Marinaro, Matthew Gavin, Gregory Thompson, Danielle Sheldon; 2 great-grandchildren, MiaRose Thompson and Chase Gavin. He also leaves his dog, Nutsy. He is predeceased by his daughter, Tracy Thompson and her late husband Michael Thompson.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 24th from 4-7p.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St. www.ChesmoreFuneralHome.com Funeral services will be private.
