Richard J. Cusack died Wednesday, November 23, 2016, at the Medway Country Manor after a period of declining health. He was 74 years old. Born in Boston, MA., to the late Francis G. and Mary T. (Murphy) Cusack, Dick was raised in Waltham and graduated from Waltham High School in 1960. He received an Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Wentworth Institute in 1962 and pursued further engineering studies at Northeastern University.

Dick was employed by Polaroid Corp. for 31 years, retiring in 1996. Upon his retirement, he worked for several years for Foreign Motors West and Bernardi Honda in the parts department. Dick was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan and very rarely missed a game.

In 1965, Dick married his High School sweetheart, Elizabeth H. Scott and they moved to Holliston in 1967, where they raised three children, Timothy S., of Medway, (wife, Judith), Karen L., of Hopkinton, and Amy L. of Framingham. Dick was also the very proud grandfather of Timothy R. and Liam F. Cusack of Medway.

In addition to his wife and children, Richard is also survived by his siblings; brother, Francis J. Cusack and his wife Virginia of Norfolk and sister, Barbara F. Shea of So. Dennis, and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 27, 2016, from 2-5 PM at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St.
WWW.ChesmoreFuneral Home.com. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Holliston at 10:30 AM on Monday, Nov. 28th. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kennedy Donovan- Pleasant St., 19 Pleasant St., Hopkinton, MA., 01747 or Advocates, 1881 Worcester Rd., Framingham, MA 02465 with 208 Warren Rd. in the memo line.
