Richard Fellenberg, 84, of Milford, passed away March 12, 2016. Raised in New Jersey, he was the son of the late Ida (Kipp) and William Fellenberg.

Richard graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a degree in Government. After graduation, he served in the Air Force and was stationed at MacDill Airforce Base. He then moved to Connecticut and started a career in the insurance industry which spanned over thirty five years. Richard was instrumental in introducing the Third Party Administrator concept to the industry, which is widely used today. He moved to Massachusetts in 1990 and started his own company, Sector Consulting.

Richard retired in 2002 and moved to Cape Cod. He enjoyed volunteering as a reader for the Radio Reading Service and spent many hours reading the newspaper on air. Richard also wrote human interest articles on community residents for Southport Living. He was an avid gardener throughout his life and took pride in his landscape projects. What Richard enjoyed most in life was spending time with his family. He was a source of support and a re-assuring presence in the lives of his loved ones.

His antics, wit and positive outlook will be remembered by all who knew him. He will be greatly missed by his daughters, Kim and Pam, sons-in-law, Martin and Jeff, grandchildren, Lauren, Marshall, Adam and Aaron, and “the little girls”, his great granddaughters, Lucy, Margo and Elyn.
