Richard L. Brumber, 68, of Holliston, died Friday, February 8, 2008 at the Metrowest Medical Center in Framingham. Born in Buffalo, NY, he was the son of the late Loren and Dorothy (Schuppenhauer) Brumber. He was the husband to Carolyn M. (Thorne) Brumber of Holliston.

A Navy Veteran, he married and moved to Holliston in 1961. He worked for 30 years at Rembrandt Inc machine shop of Boston. He enjoyed shooting and taught pistol and self protection classes in Hudson and Hopkinton.

Besides his wife he is survived by 2 sons, Mitchell L. and Michael L. Brumber, both of Holliston, 3 grandchildren, Cassandra, David and Austin, and many in-laws. He is pre-deceased by a son, Richard Jr. who passed in March 2000.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, Feb. 13 from 5-8p.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St. (Rt. 16) www.ChesmoreFuneralHome.com A Funeral service will take place in the funeral home on Thursday at 10:00a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Congregational Church 725 Washington St., Holliston or the Holliston Ambulance Fund 59 Central St., Holliston, MA 01746
