Holliston – Richard A. Talbot, 74, died May 13, 2003 at his home following
an illness.
He was the husband of Ann (Robbins) Talbot, they had been married for 44
years.
Born in Norwood he was the son of the late Harold and Irma (Cole) Talbot.
Mr. Talbot was a resident of Holliston for 44 years, was retired from the
Wellesley School Department where he had served as a teacher and principle
at the Sprague, Perrin and Bates Schools. He was a life member of the
National Education Association and member of the National Teachers
Association. For 33 years he had sold tickets for Holliston sporting
events.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in the Korean War.
Besides his wife he is survived by his sons; Mark H. Talbot and his wife
Donna of West Palm Beach, FL and Alan R. Talbot and his wife Kim of Brandon,
FL , sister; Priscilla Doughty of Boxford, MA, grandchildren; Amanda, Anna,
Joshua and Collin Talbot and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of
the late Harold Talbot and Jane Johnson.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 17 at 11:00 a.m. at the First
Congregational Church, 725 Washington St., Holliston.
Calling hours, at the Chesmore Funeral Home, 854 Washington St., Route 16,
Holliston will be Friday from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m.
