Phyllis C. Higgins, 93, of Holliston, passed away on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at St. Patrick’s Manor in Framingham, shortly after contracting COVID. Born in Newton, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Olga (Jensen) and Frank Lord. Phyllis grew up in Newtonville and attended Newton High School. She worked as a dental assistant. While raising her children, she worked at Zayre, Framingham Union Hospital and retired from Sunlife of Canada. She was a long standing member of the Sudbury Christian Women’s Connection, Framingham Women’s Club and Eastern Star in Needham. Her family was her life and virtually never missed any opportunity to be together with them. Prior to the pandemic, she frequently visited the senior center weekly in Holliston, enjoying lunches with friends. She was a kind, gentle woman and a big fan of special sweets like maple walnut ice cream, milk chocolate and fried clams at Rosewood Restaurant.

Devoted Mother to her four daughters, Susan Way and her husband, Bob of Osterburg, PA, Nancy Maupai (late husband, Gino) of Millville, DE, Carol Davis and her husband, Minor of Framingham and Sandy Repella and her husband, Gary of Ashburnham. Unofficial adopted daughters, Susie Comeau, Joyce Ciallella and Debbie Aaron. She also leaves behind her beloved sister, Janet Milek (late husband, Henry) of Livonia, MI, sisters-in-law, Betsy Lord of West Yarmouth and Charlotte Higgins of NH. She adored her grandchildren, Jennifer and Mark Way and partner, Marco, Joseph and Karen Maupai, Candy and Duane Damiani, Skip and Mary Maupai, step-granddaughter, Morgan and Kieth Mansa, Jonathan and Jaime, Justin and Jessica Georges, Michael and Lorena Repella, Angela and Kristin Repella; great grandchildren, Breanna and Dion Motl, Jacob, Annabelle and Leila Maupai, Christian Rehfuss, Jillian and Eddie Adams, Major Mansa, Kai and Cora Georges; great-great-grandchild, Caitlyn Kreutz. Her precious nieces, nephews, all the Repella family and many friends. She is predeceased by her dear brother, Frank Lord and close friends, Barbara McCabe, Olga Mantell and Ann Murphy.
