Dear Maureen and Caitlyn, I am deeply saddened by Pat's passing. I first met the Shea family when I came here to Holliston,as a rooky science teacher. ( I had no idea how far the roots of this huge family would go, nor cross my path, during my 35 years teaching science at Holliston High School). It was an honor, and a blessing to me, to have had the opportunity to do so. You are all wonderful people. As I think back over the past 5 decades, you all have had more that your share of losses, but I sense that Pat was the one would get you down the path to moving on. When my wife passed, now 27 years ago, a friend told me about how someone (I could see Pat being that someone) had told him, something that he said had helped him get through his grief, and he felt it would help me. I did and may it do the some for all of you : When someone love becomes a memory, that memory becomes a treasure.! Maureen may you, Caitlyn, the entire family, but especially Pat, FIND PEACE. God Bless You All. With greatest love and respect, Peter M. Amati, Jr.

Maureen, I am so sorry for you and your daughter’s loss! May the memories of times filled with love and laughter bring some sort of peace. Along with knowing so many people are sending love and prayers. Nancy Bloom

I am so sorry to hear the news of Pat’s passing. He was a great mentor and work partner. He founded and built a very successful accounting firm that I was lucky to have been a part of. He and Maureen cultivated an atmosphere at the firm where everyone got along and worked together to accomplish goals. Pat was always able to offer a constructive solution to a problem, and he could do it with a touch of humor, something I always appreciated. Pat will be sorely missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Tim and Katie. I am so sorry to read of this. Too soon. I teared a little when reading of his fond memories of backyard baseball. I remember those days! I have to believe that he and my brother Ricky are playing catch somewhere now. I have such fond memories of those days. I will pray that God will comfort you and all who loved him and will grieve over this loss. God bless and comfort you. Doug MacGray

I graduated Holliston High School a year ahead of Pat with his brother Joe. I always knew Pat as a quiet but fierce teddy bear - a sweetheart of a man. He was also a dedicated offensive lineman on a state championship football team. When I founded my company in Franklin in 1997 I sought out Pat to be my CPA. He was great encouraging counsel not just as a business advisor but as a friend with compassion. He built a thriving business himself by clearly being customer first. I will always recall that Pat carried himself as a community and corporate citizen who never relinquished the the kindness and caring of a helpful neighbor. God bless to you and Maureen.

Last year I reconnected with Pat to talk about his childhood in Holliston for the 300th anniversary history book. He was still passionate about his hometown though it had been many years since he and Maureen moved away. He said Holliston would always be home...and that he would be buried here. It just should not have come so soon. Pat was a gentle guy for one who garnered such success. Maureen you and Pat shared a soul, and I am so, so sorry that you and your family have lost him so young. Godspeed to all of you. Mary Greendale

The house I grew up in on Union St. was built by Pat's dad. Pat was a year ahead of me in school and I played some sandlot baseball in his back yard on Winthrop St. Pat was a paperboy for some time, with double baskets on his bicycle. If I happened to be in my driveway when he was delivering, he'd always stop and talk; I wondered how he ever finished his route. In high school his was the kindest, friendliest person one could ever know. God Bless you Sheabo.

Pat Shea was truly one if the very finest people I have ever had the honor of knowing. For many years Pat was our accountant and trusted advisor. I always looked forward to our meetings as he was such a wonderfully positive resource of help and advice- somehow we felt his help always tempered with love and caring. Pat was always willing to offer help of any kind, information, networking or referrals - in general, a concerned ,thoughtful and loving friend to all he came in contact with. A rarity in todays world , Patrick Shea will be missed by all who knew him .
