Hey Norm, I'm thinking of going to the SIPA alumni reunion in March 2025. I remember how we were talking about hitting up the reunion back in 2018. I wish we could have made that happen. I'll go check out our old haunts back in Morningside Heights. I miss you my friend.

It's been almost a year since you left us. I miss you my friend. I wish you could be spending Thanksgiving with your family.

July 2,2022. The last thing I told Norm was that I wanted to fly Megan out to join my daughter at summer camp in Texas. We made it happen! The girls had a great time.

Norm, my brother Eric, and myself at my wedding in Korea. Norm escorted my future mother in law down the aisle. I'm so happy he was a part of the ceremony. Norm will forever be a part of my life. I will never forget our friendship.

Norman’s big heart, buoyant laugh, and boundless curiosity made the world a better place. Rest easy, my friend.

I am so sad to hear of Norman's passing. I worked with him early in his career. He was a great colleague--fun, smart, kind--and always gentlemanly. He always had an armful of books he was reading. After he went on to a new position, I ran into him from time to time on the train, and always enjoyed catching up. My condolences to his family. He was a great guy.

We are forever grateful to our best man at our wedding. So sorry that you had such short time on earth with us but we will cherish your time with us so dearly and fondly. We will greatly miss your warm smile and feel-so-good laughters. You were such a good friend to us and will always have a special place in our heart. Our utmost sincere condolence to your family. I know he is in heaven smiling down on us with no more pain and no more sorrow.

Norm, I'm so sorry that you passed so early in life. Even though we haven't kept up over the years, I am very glad that we got to reconnect briefly over texts before you passed. I know your family and friends will miss you terribly, but I know you will be watching over them. Rest in peace, Jae

This was in 2010 when Norm, Ann, and their new baby were visiting San Francisco. Later that day we took both of our girls to the California Academy of Sciences. They enjoyed seeing all the fish in the aquarium.

This photo was taken a year after I met Norm at Columbia University. We became friends immediately. Norm and I bonded over public affairs, job prospects, and our dreams for the future. I called him "Stormin' Norman" in homage to the famous general of the first Iraq war. In recent years we haven't seen as much of each other as I would have liked, but I tried to find every excuse to visit Boston that I could. I will miss my good friend. Love you man.
