Holliston-
Melissa Marie Bachman, 29, of Holliston, passed away at home on Tuesday, September 4, 2018; following a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Logansport, IN, she was the daughter of Marta I. (Laguna) and Gustavo A. Bachman of Holliston.
The love Melissa had for her family and friends was unsurpassed. She had a heart of gold and took pleasure in helping others, including preparing and bringing meals to those in need, even in her time of sickness. She loved country music, the beach, and Australia, her second home. She enjoyed kickboxing, the movies, and witty comments – which continued until the end. Melissa was instrumental in raising her nephew and nieces and every year took them to the Boston Marathon, a special trip they will miss in the years to come. She had a role in starting her brother-in-law’s company, one in which she was proud to work for. During high school, she was active with the Best Buddies Organization. As a faithful communicant of St. Mary’s Church, she was also actively involved with its special needs community. Melissa lived life passionately during her short time with us on earth, inspiring and motivating so many people she met along her journey to heaven.
Besides her parents, Melissa is survived by her four siblings, Marcos Bachman of Worcester, Natalie Pomarico and her husband, Tony of Westborough, Astrid Bachman and Nathaniel Bachman, both of Holliston. She also leaves behind her nephew and nieces, Austin Bachman, Kaia and Lucca Pomarico; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and her two grandparents.
