Mary T. Chemini, 80, of Holliston, passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at
the Oak Knoll Health care Center in Framingham. Born in Hill, N.H., she
was the daughter of the late William and Alice (Hudson) Thistle. She was
the wife of the late James A. Chemini who passed away in 1969.

A beloved member of her community, Mary was active for 50 years in the
First Congregational Church where she served on many committees including
the Christian Outreach Committee. She was a former Deacon and was active in
the Holliston Senior Center until her illness. She supported many local
charities and enjoyed spending time with family, playing cards, Bridge, reading, fine food and
socializing with friends. She was a 1951 graduate of Mass General School
of Nursing and was the Complaint Manager Specialist at the Massachusetts
State Department of Public Health retiring after 20 years. During her time
at work, she received many service awards.

She is survived by her children, Linda C. Gernes and her husband Todd of
Holliston, James W. Chemini and his wife Nancy of Medway, Donald A.
Chemini and his wife Tina of Holliston; a sister, Sylvia King of
Rochester, NY.; and 4 grandchildren, Eliza, Corey, Sidney and William.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 16, 2011 from 4-7p.m. at the
Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St.

May 17th at 10:00a.m. at the First Congregational Church in Holliston.
Burial will follow at Lake Grove Cemetery in Holliston. In lieu of
flowers, donations may be made to First Congregational Church, Christian
