Holliston-

Mary “Janet” Stone, 73, of Lady Lake, Florida, died Thursday, October 5, 2006 at the Saratoga Springs Hospital in NY. She was the daughter of the late Ruth (Hynes) and William Ross. She was the wife of 49 years to David E. Stone.

Originally from Cohasset,where Janet had grown up she later resided in Holliston for 33 years before retiring to Lady Lake FL, in 1991, . Janet was a long time member of St. Michael’s Church of Holliston where she was a past organist and part of the choir. She was active in many local clubs in her years spent in Holliston. .

She is survived by 3 sons Dean Stone and his wife Karyn of Bellingham, Douglas Stone and his wife Suzanne of Northbridge, and Brian Stone and his wife Janet of Saratoga Springs, NY, 2 daughters Linda McNeil and her husband Timothy of Holliston, Cynthia McLawhon and her husband Greg of Hickory, NC, 1 brother, Walter Ross of Cohasset and 1 sister, Ruth Ross of Weymouth. She also leaves 10 grandchildren, Glen, Krissy, Kelly, Katy, Cory, Shanna, Matthew, Ryan, John, and Jackson and 1 great grandchild, Cameron.

A memorial service for Janet Stone will be held on Friday, October 13th at 11:30a.m. at St. Michael’s Church in Holliston. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Michael’s Memorial Garden 1162 Highland St., Holliston, MA 01746.
