Mary C. Staltare Selent, 76, of Milford, passed away peacefully at her home in Milford on Sunday, December 28, 2025. Born in Worcester, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Catherine (Vallone) Bositis. She was the beloved wife of Steven C. Selent.

Mary was raised in Worcester and was a graduate of UMass Amherst. She was retired from Bose Corporation in Framingham, where she worked for over 20 years as a compensation analyst. She was an avid book reader and enjoyed knitting, but even more enjoyed the company of other readers and knitters.

In addition to her husband, Mary is survived by two step-children, Michael Selent and his wife, Jessica, of Holden, and Timothy Lorenzo of Lowell; two grandchildren, Michael and Alexandria Selent; her brother, Francis Bositis, and his wife, Christine, of Harwich; her niece Katie Bositis, and nephew Christopher Bositis; and many additional cherished extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 10th, from 12:00-2:00 p.m. at Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St., followed by a period from 2:00–3:00 p.m. during which family and friends are invited to share stories and reflections.
