ATHOL –

Marilyn M. Lukey, 77, of Athol, formerly of Woodville, died Saturday,
December 1, 2007. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late
Clarence and Mildred (Edmunds) Farrar. She was the wife of the late James
C. “Connie” Lukey for 55 years who passed away July 9, 2006.

She enjoyed camping for many years and was a member of the Marathon
Chapter, Casmaw Chapter, Blackstone Valley Chapter, Holiday Ramblers’
Chapter 3 (of Western Mass.) and the National Campers and Hikers Acorn
Chapter. She and her husband were the originators of the Marathon Chapter
of New England Family Campers Association, which later became the North
American Family Campers. She was also a member of the Lakeside Tenants
Action Association. She worked for 30 years for Boston Mutual Life
Insurance Company.

She is survived by three sons, Clarence Lukey of Hopkinton, James R. Lukey
of Petersham and William Lukey of Athol, and a daughter, Deborah (Lukey)
McNamara, of Chapel Hill, N.C.; four grandchildren, Melissa Lukey, Erin
Houle and Cullen and Kevin McNamara; She was the grandmother of the late
Shannon McNamara. She is predeceased by her foster brothers Philip and
William Jackson. She is also predeceased by her birth mother, Margaret
Alice (Rooney) McKinney. On her natural mother’s side she is predeceased
by 2 brothers, Edward D. Wilson, James McKinney and 1 sister, Jacqueline
Gregorio. On her natural mother’s side she is survived by her half
sisters, Charlottte Earner of South Boston and Ann Mullins of Meridan, CT.

Visiting hours are Wednesday, December 5, 2007 from 4 to 7 p.m., at the
funeral home. A funeral service will be held Thursday, December 6 ,2007 at
10 a.m, at the Chesmore Funeral Home, 57 Hayden Rowe St., Hopkinton.
Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Hopkinton Donations in her
memory may be made to Lakeside Tenants Action Association, c/o Ed Swain, 3
