Hopkinton-

Margaret Carol Ring, 84, of Hopkinton, passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at Metrowest Medical Center in Natick. Born in Brighton, she was the daughter of the late Elizabeth and Cornelius Mahoney. She was the wife of the late David F. Ring.

Peggy was a caring wife, mother, nana, sister, and friend. Spending time with her large, loving family brought her great joy! She enjoyed family trips to Disney World, Outer Banks, camping and Hampton Beach. She also loved going on cruises, or visiting casinos with her husband, friends and sisters. Spending time with the people she loved made her the happiest.

Peggy is survived by five children, Virginia Sokol and her husband, Robert of Mendon, David Ring and his wife, Dianne of Holliston, Carolyn Stotz of Framingham, Susan Quintiliani and her husband, Ronald of Mansfield, and Barbara Eget and her husband, Jeffrey of Bordentown, NJ. She also leaves behind her sister, Elizabeth “Betty” Crawford and her husband, David of Rockland; 12 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren,  and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 14th from 4:00 -7:00 p.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Hopkinton, 57 Hayden Rowe St.www.ChesmoreFuneralHome.com A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 15th at St. John the Evangelist Church of Hopkinton. Burial will be held privately at Bourne National Cemetery at a later date.
