Maimu Haan, 97, of Holliston, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2023 in Summerville, SC; surrounded by family. Born in Urvaste, Estonia on May 1, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Liine (Turk) and Kornelius Kivimaa. She was the wife of the late Karl Haan, who passed away on October 29, 1991 in Warwick, RI.

Maimu was an accomplished oil painting needlepoint and stained glass artist as well as being a superb master of a number of Estonian dishes. She also participated in the Boston and Connecticut Estonian choral groups with her husband as well as attending numerous Estonian functions throughout the Northeast.

Maimu leaves behind two sons; Enno who resides in S. Carolina with his wife Senaida and Hillar who resides with his wife Charmaine in Norton, MA. She also leaves behind one sister, Heldi and 2 brothers, Kaliu and Arnold; 5 grandchildren; Christina and Matthew who reside in S. Carolina; Ian and Erik living in Mass and Monique who lives in Sonoma, California along with 10 great grandchildren living in S. Carolina; and  her niece Vaike in Tartu, Estonia, whom Maimu kept in close contact with for a number of years.

Funeral services are being held privately at Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston.
