Lois Ann (DeSantis)  Shannon of Milford, MA, born June 21, 1935, died peacefully on October 31, 2025, after a long illness. She was a life long resident of Milford and the oldest daughter of the late John and Evelyn (Leoncini) DeSantis’s two children.

Lois’s husband of 70 years, Robert F. Shannon, was by her side at passing. They were devoted to each other and their family. Lois is predeceased by her cherished daughter, Laurie A. Shannon Peaslee of Westborough, and her sister, Judith (DeSantis) Kapatoes of Milford. Lois leaves behind many beloved family and friends; her devoted son in-law, William A. Peaslee, close cousin, Joann Costantino, brother-in-law, Ernie Kapatoes, and her many loving and loved nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed by all.

Lois loved to take long walks around town in her youth and was an avid bowler for most of her adult life, until she was unable. She enjoyed traveling with her family and team most years to competitions all around the country. She had been a dedicated volunteer at The Milford Food Bank and at Sacred Heart of Milford Parish. She was a gracious woman. She created a beautiful home and was a warm, welcoming, and generous host. Her daughter claimed she made the world’s best antipasto. Lois will be truly missed by those who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 9th, from 1-2 p.m. at Chesmore Funeral Home of Hopkinton, 57 Hayden Rowe St. A  2:00 p.m. funeral home service will follow. There will be a 5 pm reception at Prezo in Milford. Flowers are welcome, or in lieu of flowers, please give to the Milford Humane Society.
