Ashland-

Lloyd A. Skiffington, 86, of Ashland, passed away Wednesday, March 23,
2011 at the VA Hospital in Bedford. Born in Gilford, Maine, he was the son
of the late Mabel (Jackson) Hanson and Harry Hanson. He was the husband of
Celia (Dumois) Skiffington of Ashland.

Raised in Dover-Foxcroft, Maine, he was a Veteran of the Army in WWII as a
Chaplain’s Assistant in the European Campaign. He was an English professor
at Northeastern University for 36 years.

Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Yvonne Johnson and her
husband Jeffrey of Franklin; and a granddaughter, Oliva Johnson. He is
predeceased by a brother, Sidney W. Skiffington.

A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2011 at 9:00a.m. at St.
Mary’s Church of Holliston. There will be no visitation. In lieu of
