Hopkinton – Laurie Ann Young, 56, died Tuesday, July 19, 2005 at the
Beaumont Health Care Center in Westborough following an illness.
She was the wife of Edward Young; they had been married for 18 years.
Born in Detroit, Michigan, she was the daughter of Beatrice (Sigmond) White
of West Bloomfield, Michigan and the late Eugene White.
A resident of Hopkinton for 21 years, Mrs. Young enjoyed working for the Day
Care Center at the First Congregational Church in Hopkinton. A devoted
mother, she volunteered in her son’s classrooms in the elementary schools.
Mrs. Young also was an avid gardener.
Beside her husband and mother, she is survived by her son, Brian Young of
Hopkinton; a sister, Donna Citrin and her husband, Ken, of W. Bloomfield,
Michigan; mother-in-law, Janette Young of Southboro; sisters-in-law and
brothers-in-law, Monica and Rod Snow of Hudson, MA, Bernadette and Steven
Fernandes of Greenfield, NH and Theresa and Steven Churchill of Hawthorne,
California. She was predeceased by her father-in-law, Edward J. Young and
sister-in-law, Loretta Young of Southboro.
Funeral services are being held Thursday morning, July 21 at 10:00 a.m. at
the Chesmore Funeral Home, 57 Hayden Rowe St., Hopkinton
www.chesmorefuneralhome.com. Cantor Irving Spenadel of B’nai Shalom of
Westborough will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Auburn Cemetery,
Hopkinton.
