wPort Charlotte, FL – Laurence “Larry” Cote, 67, formerly of Holliston, died December 9, 2004 at the Englewood Hospital in Englewood, FL.

He was the husband of Margaret “Peggy” (Howland) Cote. They had been married for 34 years.

Born in Skowhegan, Maine he was the son of the late Laurence and Lillian (Gilblair) Cote. As a boy he was an avid scout, earning the Eagle Scout distinction. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy serving from 1956 – 1962.

Mr. Cote had been a resident of Holliston for 32 years, he was active in the community, including spending several years as an advisor for the Junior Achievement program. He worked for Deluxe Check Printers Company for over 30 years and also for Michael J. Connelly and Sons for several years before retiring to Florida in 2003.

Beside his wife he is survived by his children, Curt Cote of Somerville, MA and Kelly Cote of Watertown, MA; and his brother, Conrad Cote of Dale City, VA.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Church, Washington St., Holliston on Monday, December 13 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Lake View Cemetery in Wayland.

Calling hours, at the Chesmore Funeral Home, 854 Washington St., Route 16, Holliston, will be Sunday from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m.
