Kathryn M. (Murphy) Phelan

August 27, 1947 - July 28, 2013

Share your Memorial with Family & Friends

Kathy, Kathy I am so sorry that you had to leave us. We have the fondest memories of you. What a joy it was to visit, dine, see a show, do and event or just to have each other over and chat. You were so bright and full of life. I am beside myself for not being more proactive and looking you up while you were here. Our lives drifted apart. It seems that life gets in the way of what is so important. Know that we love you and pray for you. David and Anita ----your California Buddies.(dnamclaughlin@verizon.net)

Many years have passed since I have spent time with Kathy but the wonderful memories have not faded. Kathy was a beautiful and very smart girl with strong convictions and lots of good friends. I am certain she carried those wonderful qualities with her through out her life. She will be in my thoughts and prayers.

I am so sorry to hear that Kathy has passed. As Tom Laronga mentioned, Kathy,Donna and I spent our childhood days together, playing outdoors, skating and swimming on Lake Winthrop, creating play areas in the pine trees, sliding on slippery rock and climbing on broken rock ! As Donna mentioned, especially the neighborhood Moms...:)...Kathy's family and many friends met Kathy as they opened the heavenly gate to greet her. Thoughts and prayers to all. Rest in Peace my friend.

You were a big part of my happy memories and carefree days. I am sorry I will not be at St. Mary's on Thursday, but Gail will represent "The Loughman's" and I will be there in spirt. You will be missed old friend.

I remember Kathy from the time she was a baby on Arch Street. Then hanging with Donna and Marriane Amico. The three of them were quite funny together. I knew her entire family from her Grandfather "Big John Casey" her aunts Mary and Helen and her mother Kay and father Jack. She will be missed.
