Hopkinton

Karl B. Geissinger, 77, of Hopkinton died unexpectedly on July 30, 2004 at his home. Born in Germany, he was the son of the late Georg and Franceska (Fischer) Geissinger. He is the husband of 55 years to Vera (Melchior) Geissinger of Hopkinton.

A Hopkinton resident since 1957, he was a union member as a brick layer and stone mason. Karl worked for several local contractors, with much of his work still existence in and around Hopkinton.

Besides his wife Vera, Karl is survived by a son, Kurt Geissinger and his wife, Elaine of Bellingham, 2 daughters; Karen Blazevich and her husband, Michael of Montana and Margie Matteson and her husband, Mark of Ashland. He also leaves behind 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren and a Sister Rosa of Germany. He was the Brother of Josef and Georg Geissinger.

Visitation hours will be held on Saturday August 7, 2004 from 10:00 am to 12 noon at the Chesmore Funeral Home, 57 Hayden Rowe St., Hopkinton, MA. A memorial service will follow the visitation hours on Saturday at 12 noon in the funeral home. Donations may be made in his memory to Metrowest Hospice, 85 Lincoln St., Framingham, MA 01702
