June M. Condon, aged 86, of Wareham, passed away on Monday, April 12, 2010, with several generations of her family by her side. June was born on Feb. 23, 1924, in Providence, R.I., to Earl F. Flynn and Margaret M. Flynn (ne O’Connell).

She grew up in Providence, graduating cum laude from Providence Classical High School and then attended business school. She married Francis M. Condon in 1944, and the pair lived most of their lives in Holliston, where they raised their children.

June Condon is pre-deceased by her husband Frank, her sons John and Christopher, her siblings Mildred, Phyllis, Muriel, and John, and her parents. She is survived by her children, Dennis Condon and his wife Joan, of Franklin; Joan Condon Bullard and her husband Henry, of Mashpee; Richard Condon and wife Susan, of Hopkinton; Mary Ellen Condon Power and her husband, William, of Sandwich; and former daughter-in-law Linda Condon, of Ocean Ridge, Fla. She was the proud grandmother of Beth Condon, Amy Lyons and her husband, Paul, Brian Condon and his wife Leslie, Henry Bullard IV and his fiance, Sara Hooper, Cristina Cutone and her husband Matthew, Joshua Condon and fiance, Kristin D’Andrea, Zachary, Caitlin, and Noah Condon, Christopher and Courtney Power, and Cameron Foehl. June also adored her great-grandchildren, Katie Lyons, Shannon, Ben, and Megan Condon, and Sofia Cutone.

June was co-owner and manager of Condon’s Hardware, of Holliston, while still raising her beloved family. She was an avid and talented knitter, loved to sew, read, and travel, and was a master of countless games, puzzles, and trivia, which also made her a formidable opponent in any card game, of which she enjoyed many with her close friends on a weekly basis. Of all June’s diverse interests, none were more important to her than time with her family.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 17, 2010, at 11:30 a.m., at the Chesmore Funeral Home in Holliston, www.ChesmoreFuneralHome.com. The burial, set for a later date, will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society, Pine Street Inn of Boston, or to your favorite charity would be most appreciated.
