Northbridge-
Julie Holston Goward, 58, of Northbridge, formerly of Natick, passed away unexpectedly at her home on October 27, 2015. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late John and Ruth Holston; owners of Holston Store in Natick. She was the wife of 30 years to William T. Goward Jr. of Northbridge.
Julie was a genuine, beautiful woman in spirit and in heart. A loving wife to Bill and a devoted sister to all. She had an endless flow of compassion for her clients and most of all her beloved dog, Charlie. Bill and Julie shared and enjoyed these years making memories that will last forever. They loved creative cooking together, antiquing, gardening and most all Julie loved relaxing in her pool for as long as the weather allowed. She spent summers at her family home, “Elaine” in Humarock. In her early years, she was a cheerleader at Natick High. During summers she worked at Camp Arrowhead for the handicapped and was an accomplished signer for the deaf. In her career she spent many years attending and helping others with special needs and the elderly.
Besides her husband and dear Charlie, she is survived by her siblings, Joseph Holston and John Holston both of Natick, Ruth and Frank Volpe of Port Charlotte, FL and Elizabeth and John Glover of Franklin; sisters- in- law, Laura and her husband Brian Urban of Harwichport, MA, and Kim and Niles Wheeler of Millbrook, NY. She is predeceased by her in-laws, William and Janet Goward of Holliston. She also leaves many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly, and an abundance of friends who she held close to her heart. Julie will be greatly missed by all. We love you! And miss you already. XOXO
