Holliston-
Joseph “Joe” W. Allen, 80, of Holliston, passed away Friday, Sept 14, 2012 at Milford Regional Medical Center. Born in Concord, he was the son of the late Geraldine (Lynch) and Joseph W. Allen. He was the husband of Jean R. (Sheridan) Allen of Holliston.

A Holliston resident for 58 years, Joe was a Navy Veteran. He served during the Korean War on the USS Bennington and the USS Lake Champlain. Mr. Allen was a member of the American Legion in Holliston and active in the Holliston Senior Center.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Thomas J. Allen and his wife Deb of Springfield, Oregon, John W. Allen of Holliston, 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He is predeceased by a brother, Robert Allen, who passed away this year.

Visitation will be held Monday, Sept 24, 2012 from 5-8pm at Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St. (Rt. 16). A funeral mass will be celebrated Tuesday, Sept 25th at 11am at St. Mary’s Church of Holliston. Burial will follow at St. Bridget’s Cemetery, Maynard.
