Holliston – John “Granville” Kelley, 87, died Monday, January 31, 2005 at the MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham.
He was the husband of Marjorie Anne (Elliott) Kelley for 61 years.
Born in Medway, he was the son of the late Patrick and Margaret (Harney) Kelley. A resident of Holliston for 53 years, he retired from General Motors in 1981. He was a member of UAW 422, enjoyed traveling and woodworking with a special interest in renovations. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army Air Corp and served during WWII.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his sons, Thomas G. Kelley and his wife, Marie, of Holliston, Timothy J. Kelley and his partner John DeMar of Holliston; daughters, Noel K. Ratto and her husband, Charles, of Duxbury, Marilyn L. Marston and her husband, Paul, of Holliston; five grandchildren, Patrick and Michael Kelley, Chris Ratto, Holloway and John Marston; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Kelley was the last of eight children.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday, February 3 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church, Washington St., Holliston. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Holliston.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, Feb. 2 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home, 854 Washington St., Route 16, Holliston
