John Joseph “Jake” Hagan, 69, of Holliston, passed away Sunday, February 10, 2013 at Tufts Medical Center in Boston. Born in Norwood, he was the son of the late Marie (Caddigan) and Frank Hagan. He was the husband of Susan (Hulbert) Hagan of Holliston.

Jake was a former Littleton Police Officer for 30 years, prior to Littleton, he worked for 2 years as a Holliston Police Officer. He was a licensed professional scuba diver, and licensed professional pilot. Jake was an avid sports fan of the Red Sox and Patriots and enjoyed woodworking, especially making bird houses.

Besides his wife of 42 years, Jake is survived by his siblings, Frank “Bid” Hagan and his wife Margot of Falmouth, Larry Hagan and his wife Janet of Canaan, NY, and Robin Smith of Concord, NH. He also leaves behind his brother-in-law, Roy Hulbert Jr., and sisters- in- law, Joanne Hulbert, Deborah Blanchard and Martha MacDonald; 17 nieces and nephews and special surrogate daughter, Tara Quinn.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 14, 2013 from 4-7pm at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, February 15 at 10:30a.m. at St. Mary’s Church of Holliston. Burial will follow in Lake Grove Cemetery in Holliston.
