Milford-

John “Jack” Michael Evans, 67, of Milford and formerly of Holliston, passed away Thursday, September 27, 2018 at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. Born in Newton, he was the son of Virginia (Gorman) of Framingham, and the late John R. Evans. He was the husband of 47 years to Dianne (Ulrich) Evans of Milford.

Jack was a man of faith, attending daily mass for 25 years. He was a longtime member of the St. Mary’s of Holliston Folk Group. Jack was passionate about music, teaching and most importantly, his family. Although trained as an educator, by profession, Jack worked for more than 30 years as a financial analyst and compliance auditor. He developed algorithms that are still being used by some of the Nation’s largest banks. Throughout his career, he also worked part time as a Driver’s Ed teacher, which nurtured his love of teaching.  

Besides his wife and his mother, Jack is survived by his daughter, Colleen L. (Evans) Chase and her husband, Christopher M. Chase of Boylston; his grandson, Derek M. Chase; three brothers, James Evans and his wife, Meli of Texas, Joseph Evans and his wife, Paula of N. Reading, William Evans and his wife, Deborah of Amherst; three sisters, Mary Evans of Framingham, Joan Keating of Virginia, and Nancy Evans and her husband, Doug Kreb of Maine. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. He is predeceased by three siblings, Constance, Cynthia and Richard Evans.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 30th from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St. www.ChesmoreFuneralHome.com A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 2nd at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church of Holliston. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
