John J. Coyle, 61, died at home in Holliston surrounded by family, Dec. 3, 2008, following a long illness. He was born March 27, 1947, in Brooklyn, N.Y., to Helen (Rowan) and Eugene Coyle.

He was a graduated from Franklin K. Lane High School in Brooklyn in 1965. In 1979, he graduated from Ricker College in Houlton Maine, and Bangor Theological Seminary in Bangor, Maine and was ordained as a minister in the United Church of Christ. He served parishes in Houlton and West Paris, Maine, and East Weymouth, Mass.

He is survived by a brother, James Coyle, sons Jesse and Josh O’Gorman, grandson Nicholas O’Gorman, and numerous cousins.

A memorial service with Pastor Jerome Janisko will be held 3 p.m. Thursday at Christ the King Lutheran Church 600 Central St., Holliston, MA Arrangements from the Chesmore Funeral Home.
