John Hancock, 80, of Medway died Sunday night May 4. 2003 at the Westridge Healthcare Center in Marlborough. He was the son of the late Jonathan and Henrietta (Lambach) Hancock.

John was a WW II, and Korean War veteran where he had served in the Navy. John was married in May of 1950 to Ruth (Harrington). He was employed for 25 years at the Microwave Development in the Natick Labs. He was also a member of the West Medway Community Church where he was involved in missions, Christian Education, and as a Sunday School Teacher. John also was involved with the Holliston Senior Bridge Club.

He is survived by his wife Ruth Hancock of Medway, 2 Daughters Ruth A. Hancock of Medway and Lynn M. Hancock of Medway. He is predeceased by his brother Frank Hancock who passed away in March 2001.

Visitation Hours will be held on Wednesday May 7, 2003 from 6 to 8 Pm at the Chesmore Funeral Home, 854 Washington St. (Rt. 126) Holliston, MA. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday May 8, 2003 at the West Medway Community Church on Rt. 109 at 11:00 AM with Burial following in the Oakland Cemetery in Medway.
