Holliston-

John F. McColgan, Jr. of Hauppauge, NY and formerly Holliston, passed away peacefully after a long battle of health issues on July 02, 2020, surrounded by his family.

John traveled the world as a NCIS Special Agent, living in Boston, Yokosuka, Japan, Adak, AK, Silverdale, WA and Hauppauge, NY. He served proudly as a Holliston Police Officer, Special Agent with NCIS, and Police Science Teacher at Western Suffolk BOCES in Suffolk County, NY.

John is survived by his loving wife, Jean, and daughters Christine (David) Stewart of Greenlawn, NY, and Jennifer of Hauppauge, NY. Siblings: Robert (Regina) of Ballston Spa, NY, Janet (Michael) Sorel of Homosassa, FL, Thomas of Glenville, NY, Stephen of Beverly Hills, FL, Barbara (Richard) Baer of Homosassa, FL, and many nieces and nephews. He is pre-deceased by his parents, John F. and Shirley A. McColgan of Holliston.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 16th from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St. www.ChesmoreFuneralHome.com A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, July 17th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church of Holliston. Interment will be held privately. Due to current restrictions, facial coverings must be worn and social distancing must be adhered to at both funeral home and church. Funeral arrangements were also handled by Moloney Funeral Home in Hauppauge, NY.
