Mr. John E. Craycroft, 74, current resident of Milford, and previously of Westborough, MA died November 19, 2024 at his home.
John was born September 12, 1950 in Louisville, KY, son to the late Joseph Craycroft, Sr. and Virginia Scholl Craycroft. His family moved to Framingham, Massachusetts when John was eight and in 1968 he graduated from Marian High School. Three years later, he married his high-school sweetheart and now wife of 53 years, the former Constance Donovan. John then graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Lowell Technological Institute in 1972.
In 1978 John moved with his young family to High Point, North Carolina. There he worked with his brother Joe at MAC Panel Company, first as the manufacturing plant manager and finally as President. While in North Carolina John remained a loyal Boston sports fan and continued his love of sailing on Smith Mountain Lake in Virginia, first discovered on the Framingham reservoir in his backyard as a boy. In 1996 he retired, and he and Connie returned to live in Massachusetts. In retirement John remained an ever-loving husband and engaged father and grandfather.
John is survived by his wife, Constance Craycroft, of Milford; a son, Tim Craycroft and his wife Martha of Steamboat Springs, Colorado; three grandchildren, Jack, Wyatt, and Flynn Craycroft; and three siblings, Sue, Margie, and Jim. He was predeceased by his parents and two brothers, Joseph, Jr. and Charles William.
Visitation will be held at Chesmore Funeral Home in Holliston at 9am, Monday, November 25th. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary’s in Holliston at 11am.
