Milford-
John C. Mahoney, 77, of Milford, died Saturday, April 19, 2008 at the Milford Regional Medical Center. Born in Worcester, he was the son of the late John J. and Mary (Cole) Mahoney. He was the husband of 57 years to Katherine “Kay” (Mclaughlin) Mahoney.

He was a Somerville resident for 14 years, a Holliston resident for 20 years and a Milford resident for the past 22 years. He was a member of the St. Mary’s of Assumption Church of Milford. He loved the Red Sox, Celtics, and Patriots.

Besides his wife, Kay, he leaves behind 2 sons, John Cole Mahoney and his wife Nancy of Southborough, Paul T. Mahoney and his wife Tracy of Holliston, 2 daughters, Gail M. Black and her husband Richard of Oxford, and Cathy A. Desrosiers and her husband John of Ft. Meyers, FL. He is also survived by 2 sisters, Mary J. Kennedy of Marlborough, Claire Dugan and her husband Richard of Centerville, 8 grandchildren, Christopher, Shannon, and Timothy Casey, James and Jeffrey Black, Barry Mahoney, and Danielle and Stephen Mahoney. He leaves 1 great-grandchild, Mikaylia Rae Connor, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. He is predeceased by 1 sister, Deborah Smith.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, April 23, 2008 from 4-8p.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St. (Rt. 16), www.ChesmoreFuneralHome.com A funeral will take place on Thursday, April 24, 2008 at 10:00a.m. at the St. Mary’s of Assumption Church in Milford. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery of Holliston. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Little Sisters of the Poor, 186 Highland Ave. Somerville, MA. 02143
