Holliston-

John Arthur Payne, 75, of Holliston, passed away peacefully Sunday, December 7,
2014 at the Timothy Daniels House in Holliston. Born in Framingham, he
was the son of the late Emory and Pearl (Ames) Payne. He was the
husband of Lynda (Cray) Payne of Holliston.

John was a lifelong Holliston resident. He enjoyed traveling which included
trips to Indonesia, the Caribbean Islands, Las Vegas and especially their vacation home in Deer Isle, Maine with his family.
In the past 3 years, he and his wife have driven
through all 48 states. He was previously employed as a machinist at
Highland Laboratories, Healard Machine, and Volpe Tool. He also enjoyed
racing stock cars.

John and his wife would have celebrated 55 years of marriage on December
13th. He is survived by four children, Karyn Stone and her husband Dean
of Bellingham, William Payne and his wife Wanda of Bellingham, Susan
Payne of Blackstone and Donald Payne and his wife Imelda of Mendon; 3
siblings, Sally Eldredge of Las Vegas, William Payne and his wife Donna
of Lowell, and Emory Payne and his wife Jane of Holliston. He also
leaves behind 4 grandchildren, Cory Stone, Shanna Stone, William Payne,
and Donald Joshua “DJ” Payne. He is predeceased by 2 brothers, Charles
and Albert Payne.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 10th from 4-7p.m. at the
Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St.
