Norfolk and formerly Holliston-

John A. Canning, 54, of Norfolk and formerly of Holliston, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 15, 2016. Born in Framingham, he was the son of the late Helena (Davis) Canning and James E. Canning and his wife Laurie of West Dennis.

John was a 1979 Holliston High School graduate as well as a 1984 graduate of Northeastern University. He was an avid Boston sports fan and loved motorcycles.

He is survived by his three children, Marea Canning of Boxboro, Jason Canning of Tewksbury, and Caroline Canning of Norfolk; two brothers, James Canning Jr. and his wife Brenda of Bellingham, and Jeffrey B. Canning of Holliston; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 20th from 5-8p.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St. www.ChesmoreFuneralHome.com A funeral service will be celebrated on Thursday, January 21st at 11:00a.m. at Faith Community Church in Hopkinton.
