Joanne Duffy, 85, of Hopkinton, passed away Monday, February 1, 2016. Born in Braintree, she was the daughter of the late Anne (Belmore) and George MacDonald. She was the wife of the late John Joseph Duffy.

Joanne enjoyed gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her three children, Peter Duffy of Virginia, Alan Duffy of Florida, and Jacqueline Duffy of Woodville. She also leaves behind a sister, Naomi Cattel of Marion; her sister in law, Janet MacDonald as well as 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She is predeceased by several siblings.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 11th from 4-7p.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Hopkinton, 57 Hayden Rowe St. www.ChesmoreFuneralHome.com A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. John the Evangelist Church of Hopkinton on Friday, February 12th at 11:00a.m. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
