Joann Marie Culcasi, 82, of Charlestown, Rhode Island and formerly of Holliston, passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2025. Born in Newton, she was the daughter of the late Mary (Fitzgerald) and John E. Early. She was the wife of 50 years to the late Vincent P. Culcasi. 

Joann had a passion for handwork, enjoying activities such as knitting, needlepoint, and quilting. Her hands created beautiful pieces that will continue to be cherished by her family for years to come. She loved the beach and enjoyed time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchild.

Joann is survived by four children; Vincent P. Culcasi, Jr. of Chesapeake, VA, Patricia M. Tobin of Franklin, MA, Michael J. Culcasi of Medway, MA and Diane M. Miller of Charlestown, RI. She also leaves behind seven grandchildren, Vincent, Mathew, Kevin, Joseph, Brian, Hope and Mary Ellen; as well as her great-granddaughter, Bella, and step-grandchildren, Ryan, Madelyn, and Kate.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, January 23rd at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Mary’s Church of Holliston. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Neurology Chiefs Catalyst Endowed Fund https://giving.massgeneral.org/donate/neurology-chief-catalyst-fund
