Joan G. Keenan, 73, of Chestnut Hill, formerly of Cambridge and Wellesley,
died Saturday, October 20, 2012, at the Radius Specialty Hospital in
Boston.

Born in Los Angeles, CA, on July 24, 1939, she was the daughter of William
L. and Carolyn (Travis) Glasser. She was a graduate of Santa Monica High
School and Wellesley College and pursued graduate studies at Harvard
University and MIT. An officer of Harvard University, she was co-master of
North House (now Pforzheimer House) at Harvard College from 1971 to 1975,
with her former husband Prof. Edward L. Keenan, Jr. She enjoyed reading,
swimming, and playing the violin.

She was the mother of Edward L. Keenan, III, and his wife Jane Piercy, of
Brookline, Christopher and his late wife Donna, of Holliston, Nicholas and
his wife Marie Collins, of Washington, D.C., and the late Matthew Keenan.
Sister of Carol Robinson and the late Mary Anne Glasser. She is survived
by 7 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A service will be held at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, 79 Denton Rd.,
Wellesley, on Saturday, January 5th, at 10:00 a.m.
