Joan (Long) Boudreau, nee Sullen, passed away peacefully on December 17, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, music, service, and quiet strength.

Joan was preceded in death by her husbands, David Long and Richard Boudreau; her sister, Vivian; and several of her beloved children, Virginia Thibault, Donald Long, and Peter Long. She is survived by her sons, Stephen Long and David Long, as well as her cherished grandchildren. Among those who held a special place in her heart were Lisa Bragdon, Jessica Thibault, Jamie Thibault, and Tanya Monteiro, each of whom brought her great pride and joy.

Music was the language of Joan’s soul. An avid and accomplished musician, she played both the organ and piano with grace and passion. She served as an organist for several churches, schools, and bands, sharing her gift through piano teaching, and she carried a deep love for all types of music throughout her life. Her music touched countless hearts and brought comfort, joy, and inspiration to many.

Joan was a talented baker, known for creating treats that brought people together and made ordinary moments feel special. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, spending time at the ocean, and being with her pets. She loved birds, lighthouses, and collecting frogs. Her generous spirit extended far beyond her home. She spent many years delivering meals, quietly serving those in need with compassion and humility. Joan met life’s many hardships with quiet strength and enduring love. Though the weight of loss was great, her spirit remained gentle. Her journey has now ended, and she has found the peace she sought in her final years, resting with God and reunited with her beloved family. She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever held in the hearts of those whose lives she touched.

A private graveside service will be held. Arrangements are under the care of the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston.
