My life has been enriched by "Mammy" Hughes. Even though we have been miles apart for many years, she and all of you have not been far from my thoughts and prayers. I loved your mom very much and she helped me through some tough times over the years and I cherished every moment of knowing her. She will be incredibly missed, but I know that she is rejoicing in heaven with my dad right about now. Say Hi to him for me, Mammy!!!!! All my love to the whole family.

Dear Hughes Family, I was deeply saddened to learn of Jo Ann's passing. I have been trying to find her since last seeing her at Scott's wedding. I have been sensing that she was not well. I loved her very much and have missed her. I know what a great loss this is for all of you. You are all in my prayers. Love, Charlene

She was an angel on loan from heaven. How could anyone have raised ten children (after losing Dad) with the grace and dignity that she did? Every holiday and every birthday was filled with so much life and so much love. She left us so quietly and quickly that she took our breath away.
