Hopkinton, MA – Jeffrey L. Borden, 48, died Thursday, April 10, 2003 at his home following a long illness.
He was the husband of Maryellen (Dillon) Borden.
Born in Fall River, MA he was the son of Joan (Morris) Borden of Pawtucket, RI and Raymond and Ann (Revill) Borden of Middletown, RI with whom he was raised. He had been a resident of Hopkinton for 20 years.
He was a veteran of the U. S. Army serving in Viet Nam and later in Germany until 1974. He was a member of American Legion Post 202 in Hopkinton, was an active volunteer for the Boston Marathon in Hopkinton and an avid ice fisherman. Mr. Borden was a shipping receiver for Lord and Taylor and had formerly been a receiver for Colella’s Market in Hopkinton.
He is also survived by his brothers; Michael, Stephen and Andrew Borden of Portsmouth, RI, Raymond Borden of Texas, sisters; Patricia Levesque of Pawtucket, RI and Barbara Borden of Portsmouth, RI, 2 uncles, 4 nieces and 1 nephew.
Graveside funeral services will be held on Monday, April 14 at 11:00 a.m. at the family lot in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Chelmsford, MA. The Rev. Ernest Batten will officiate.
Calling hours, at the Chesmore Funeral Home, 57 Hayden Rowe St., Hopkinton, MA will be Sunday from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m.
