Holliston – Janet L. Nielsen, 73, died Thursday, Dec. 11, 2008 at the Oak Knoll Health Care Center in Framingham.
She was the wife of 52 years of Ernest Nielsen of Holliston.
Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Eleanor (Kershaw) and Arnold Snell.
A resident of Holliston for 50 years, Mrs. Nielsen was a Licensed Practical Nurse and dedicated homemaker.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her daughters, Kristine Heavner and her husband, Scott, Lorraine Messom and her husband, Henry, Karen Nielsen, and Linda Nielsen all of Holliston, and Ingrid Hayman and her husband, Paul, of Levittown, PA; a brother, Elmer Alvin Snell of Louisiana; sisters, Joan Scott of Norton, MA and Evelyn Sherwood of Florida; cousins, Ann Sullivan of Florida; eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Norma Noll.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, December 13 at 11:00 a.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home, 854 Washington Street, Route 16, Holliston. Calling hours will be held from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. prior to the funeral service. Burial will follow at Lake Grove Cemetery.
