Hopkinton-
Janet Rose Ferreri, 66, of Hopkinton and formerly of Holliston, passed away Wednesday, December 25, 2013. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she is the daughter of Jean (Termini) Ferreri of Boca Raton, FL and the late Edward Ferreri.

Janet was a Montessori teacher for 30 years and taught at Placentino Elementary School in Holliston for 25 plus years; where she started the Montessori Program. She was an advocate in applying peace and multicultural diversity in her teaching. She loved to travel and enjoyed the ocean. Janet loved living by the water and nature and was an exceptional mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, friend and teacher. She taught adult Yoga classes in Holliston and enjoyed the spiritual aspect of life.

Besides her mother, she is survived by her daughter, Santina D. Wendling of Attleboro, son-in-law Scott Wendling; her sister, Diane Wakefield and her husband Steven of Marietta, NY; 2 grandchildren, Brady and Nicholas; her current life partner of 13 years, Harvey J. Krupnick of Hopkinton; and former husband James Masters of Florida.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 28th from 3-6pm at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St. www.ChesmoreFuneralHome.com At 5:30pm, friends and family will gather to share a few words.
