Holliston-

James J. Stanfield, 70, of Holliston, passed away Saturday, March 5, 2011. Born in Georgia, he was the son of the late Elias and Bertha (Jeffers) Stanfield. He was the husband of Natalie (Lehr) Stanfield of Holliston.

James served 20 years in the Navy and was a Vietnam Veteran and was a Purple Heart recipient. A member of St. Mary’s Church of Holliston he was also a member of the VFW in Ashland and the American Legion in Framingham. He loved Golf and enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson.

Besides his wife of 47 years, he is survived by his son, Howard Stanfield of Virginia, his daughter, Kymberlee Sadler and her husband Laurence of Virginia, a brother in law, Howard Lehr, and a sister in law, Joanne and her husband Bert Cheney. He also leaves behind 7 grandchildren, Heather Anne, Rebekah, James, Garrett, Jay, Jared and Charlotte, and he was loved by many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his siblings, J.C., Betty Jean, Georgia and Thelma.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 9, 2011 from 5-8p.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St. www.ChesmoreFuneralHome.com A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:30a.m. at St. Mary’s Church of Holliston.
