Jack Michael Olson, a devoted family man, dedicated community member, and passionate sports enthusiast, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at the age of 85. A longtime resident of Holliston, Massachusetts, he was the loving and devoted husband of 62 years to Bonnie Jean (Ristow) Olson.

Born in Downers Grove, Illinois, Jack was the son of the late Ragnhild (Abrahamson) and Frank Olson.

Jack dedicated more than three decades of his professional life to his successful business, Olson Marketing, before retiring at the age of 80. Throughout his time in Holliston, he was an active and engaged member of the community. He served the Holliston Congregational Church on various committees, including the diaconate. Jack was a proud member of Mt. Hollis Masonic Lodge as well as the Aleppo Shriners. He cherished time spent with friends participating in the Holliston Good Time Investment Club, the Mystery Club, and the Holliston Business Association. He was also a volunteer with the Holliston Lions.

A passionate sports enthusiast, Jack enjoyed playing golf and, for several years, held season tickets to the New England Patriots with his friends. As a young father, Jack coached his daughters’ sports teams. He especially loved cheering on his grandsons in Medway youth and high school sports, demonstrating his enduring enthusiasm for athletics by becoming a certified youth lacrosse referee at the age of 78.

In addition to his beloved wife, Bonnie Jean, Jack is survived by his three daughters: Sara Bailey and her husband, Jefferson; Michelle Olson; and Marci Murphy and her husband, Kevin. He also leaves behind his cherished three grandchildren, Brian and Sean Murphy, and Jackson Bailey. He was predeceased by his parents and his brother, Daniel Olson.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 5th, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St. A private burial service will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jack’s memory to the Shriners Hospital for Children via their website at shrinerschildrens.org.
