Holliston,
Herbert Leslie Rand III, 72, of Holliston, passed away Thursday, March 24,
2011. Born in Clinton, MA., he was the son of the late Dorothy (Fay) and
Herbert Rand Jr. He was the husband to Susan B. (Robinson) Rand of
Holliston.

Herbert was an Army Veteran and served during the Korean Conflict. He was
a 3rd degree Mason, a Shriner and a member of the Eastern Stars.
He enjoyed working with his hands and carpentry, took joy in the ocean surf, and loved outings with his family.
Herb appreciated the natural world surrounding his home. He was very proud of his families accomplishments.
Besides his wife Susan, he is survived by his daughters, Rebecca Maul and
her husband Darth of Uxbridge, Jennifer Harris of Ft. Wayne Indiana; his
stepchildren, Susan C. McLeish of Antrim, N.H., Dennis McLeish and his
wife Karen of Grand Junction, CO., Christopher McLeish and his wife
Christine of Buckfield, ME., and Timothy McLeish of Mesa, AZ. He also
leaves behind his siblings, John Rand of California, and Fay Morris and
her husband Frank of Arizona; as well as 6 grandchildren, Alexis, Connor,
Gina, Joey, Sara, and Erin.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 27, 2011 from 2-5p.m. at the
Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St.
