HOLLISTON — Helen Margaret (Booth) Higgins, 83, died Saturday, Feb. 14, 2004, at the Sunbridge Care and Rehabilitation Center in Milford.

She was the wife of Ralph A. “Pat” Higgins Sr., who died on Feb. 9, 2000. They had been married for 57 years.

Born in Framingham, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Helen (Ryan) Booth.

She had graduated from Ashland High School and the South Middlesex Secretarial School, majoring in bookkeeping and secretarial studies. She was retired from Dennison Manufacturing Co., where she had been an accounting secretary.

She was a member of the Holliston Senior Center and Fellowship, St. Mary’s Women’s Guild and Rosary Group.

She leaves her sons, Ralph A. Higgins Jr. and his wife, Lois, of Bellingham, Richard A. Higgins and his wife, Dianne, of Dennis; a daughter, Kathleen Powers and her husband, John, of Uxbridge; a sister, Bette Strand and her husband, Erlenge, of Ashland; a brother-in-law, Robert Higgins and his wife, Marjorie, of Holliston; eight grandchildren, Kimberley Shyne and her husband, Jeremiah, of Milford, Brian Higgins and his wife, Kim, of Atlanta, Ga., Michele Bliss and her husband, Kenny, of Bellingham, Joshua and Matthew Higgins of East Orleans, Erin Allis and her husband, Charles, of East Hampton, Conn., Sean Powers and Ryan Powers of Uxbridge; eight great-grandchildren, Katelyn and Jeremiah Shyne, Hannah and Jared Higgins, Zachary and Lucas Bliss, Hunter Allis and Andrew Powers; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Calling hours at the Chesmore Funeral Home (www.chesmorefuneralhome.com), 854 Washington St. (Rte. 16), Holliston, will be Monday, Feb. 16, from 3 to 7 p.m.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday, Feb. 17, at 9 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church, Washington Street, Holliston.

Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Holliston.
