Wife for 67 years, Mother of four, Friend to all, Perpetual explorer. Helen Nadia Wasylciw has suddenly left our physical world, but her energy and kindness carry on with us forever, wrapped in the beautiful quilts she generously created.

In addition to her husband Walter and their children, Nadia (husband Lawrence), Kathryn (husband Phillip), Paula, and Matthew, she’s extended her love to 5 grandchildren and care to over a dozen family pets through the years.

As a newly married young woman, she was unable to boil water, yet Helen spurred a family to a lifetime of food appreciation as she learned from cookbooks and adventures in foods of the world. Without training in the arts, she pursued crafts through the decades. With quilting as her last favorite, she made quilts for the process and to gift for those less fortunate or loved ones celebrating key life moments. As much as she explored each activity for her fun, Helen always found a way to share her work and passion.

A celebration of life will be held at the Ernst home on August 12, 2023, at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the World Central Kitchen (wck.org). Arrangements are under the care of the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston.
