Helen D. (Morey) Connolly, 88, of Holyoke, died Saturday, November 11, 2006 at the Mont Marie Healthcare Center in Holyoke, MA. Born in Hopedale, she was the daughter of the late Delphine (Paradise) and James Morey. Wife of the late Joseph Connolly.

Educated in St. Mary’s Schools of Milford and a 1935 graduate of Milford High School. She was a floor manager at the former Lisch Hat Company until she married, She was a resident of Holliston and Ashland for 25 years and of Brainard, New York for another 25 years.

She is survived by 3 sons, Joseph Connolly and his wife Anne of Ashland, Michael Connolly of Albany, NY, Thomas Connolly and his wife Susan of Chatham, NY, 5 daughters, Patricia Themeli and her husband John of Holliston, Kathleen Connolly of Brainard, NY., Helen (Terri) McGrath and her husband Paul of Nassau, NY, Jo Anne Crannell and her husband Jeffrey of Poestenkill, NY and Mary Rivest and her husband Joseph of Southampton, MA., 2 sisters, Sister Rita Morey of the Sisters of Joseph of Springfield, and Ruth Ardini and her late husband Donald of New Port Richie, FL. She also leaves 18 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She leaves a daughter in law, Brenda of Nassau, NY, who is the wife of the late James Connolly who died in March 2006.

A memorial funeral mass will take place on Satruday, November 18, 2006 at 10:00 at St. Mary’s Church of Holliston. Burial of her cremains will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery of Milford. A celebration of her life will follow the burial in Holliston at her grandson Michael’s home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sisters of St. Joseph’s Building Fund, or Mont Marie Healthcare Center, Holyoke, MA. 01040.
